Journalism and Education Lose a Pioneer: Zaheeruddin Ali Khan Remembered for Contributions : Home Minister
On Tuesday, a funeral prayer was conducted at Shahi Masjid in Public Gardens following the Fajr prayers.
His final resting place was his ancestral graveyard, Aakhirat Manzil, located on Darrusalam Road in Nampally.
Tragically, Khan’s life came to an abrupt end on Monday, due to a sudden cardiac arrest during the funeral procession of poet-activist Gaddar in Alwal.
The sorrowful news prompted an outpouring of condolences from around the globe. K. Chandrashekar Rao, Chief Minister of Telangana, expressed his profound grief over Khan’s passing. Similarly, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) leader Revanth Reddy conveyed his shock and referred to the event as a significant loss to the state. Revanth Reddy and fellow party member Feroz Khan, Amair Javeed, and AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi paid their respects by visiting Khan’s residence.
Reflecting on Khan’s impact, Telangana’s Home Minister, Mohammed Mahmood Ali, shared his condolences and highlighted Khan’s enduring commitment to the nation’s progress. The minister also remembered Khan’s contributions, not only as a journalist but also through his support of Urdu-medium students, which included scholarships.
