Hitex to Host 6th Edition of PETEX India 2023 Show: India’s Premier Pet Expo

Hyderabad: – Hitex is gearing up to host the much-anticipated 6th edition of PETEX India 2023, making it the country’s largest pet expo catering to Dogs, Cats, Fish, and Exotic Pets. This transformative event, initially a B2C platform, is evolving into a B2B powerhouse.

Notably, Hyderabad will witness the convergence of two celebrated NRI veterinarians who plan to establish India’s largest commercially owned multi-speciality pet clinic in Jubilee Hills. Spanning 20,000 sq. ft., the state-of-the-art facility will house an animal blood bank, India’s first MRI for pets, and an electric pet crematorium.

Hyderabad takes the lead in pet adoption, boasting the highest number of adopted cats in the country. The city will be the backdrop for PETEX 2023, running from December 22nd to 24th, at Hitex.

At a press conference held at Hitex, key figures including Mr. T G Srikanth (Business Head, HITEX), Ms. Archana Naidu (Managing Partner, Seven Oaks Pet Hospital), and other industry experts announced the event’s highlights. PETEX goes beyond being a mere exhibition; it symbolizes a commitment to building a community dedicated to the welfare of pets and their profound impact on human lives.

With 50 exhibitors featuring a range of products such as Pet Food, Healthcare, Fashion, Accessories, Toys, and Boarding, PETEX will serve as a vital platform for industry players, manufacturers, wholesalers, and service providers. The show anticipates drawing over 30,000 visitors during the three-day extravaganza.

Aside from showcasing various Ornamental Fish varieties, PETEX will host workshops, including a Therapy Dogs Workshop by Ms. Subhadra Cherukuri, a certified Canine Behaviourist and Therapy Dog trainer. Yoga with Shelter Puppies, Art with Shelter Puppies, and an Aquascaping Workshop by Mr. Mayur Dev are also on the agenda.

Adding a competitive flair, the WCF International Cat Championship Show, organized by the Indian Cat Club, will feature over 100 cats, judged by international experts Ms. Olga Kuznetsova and Ms. Ekaterina Drozhzhina from Russia.

Ms. Archana Naidu shared details about the upcoming Seven Oaks Pet Hospital, a 20,000 sq. ft. clinic in Jubilee Hills. Set to open in the first quarter of the next year, the clinic aims to make Hyderabad the Veterinary Capital of India, offering innovative features such as an Animal Blood Bank, Electric Crematorium, and the country’s first MRI for animals.

PETEX will address stray dog issues, advancements in pet healthcare, and investment opportunities in the pet industry. Renowned speakers from the US and Egypt will share insights, attracting over 60+ veterinarians from across the country.

The event will not only feature Exotic Birds and Reptiles but also showcase a Dog Demonstration by Progressive Canines, including Agility and Obedience Competitions.

With an entry fee of Rs. 412 for adults and Rs. 267 for kids, attendees gain access not only to PETEX but also to the simultaneous HITEX HYDERABAD KIDS FAIR at the same venue.
