Hyderabad, November 27, 2023: The Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) has disrupted the anticipated chilly winter in Hyderabad with a forecast of rains and heavy humidity. A western disturbance impacting Rajasthan and Gujarat is causing a weather shift, bringing light to moderate rains across various parts of the city.
Unusual Weather Patterns Across Telangana
Several districts, including Hyderabad, Adilabad, Nirmal, Asifabad, Kamareddy, Sangareddy, and Medak, are expected to experience thunderstorms in the next few days. The impact of the powerful western disturbance is altering the seasonal transition, with above-normal minimum temperatures persisting until the first week of December.
Altered Temperature Trends in Hyderabad
Meteorological projections indicate that Hyderabad’s maximum temperatures are likely to stabilize around 30 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, minimum temperatures are expected to linger above 20 degrees Celsius, delaying the customary drop associated with the arrival of winter. Areas such as Begumpet, Malkajgiri, Kapra, Osmania University, and others are projected to witness varying intensities of rainfall during this period.
Statewide Rainfall Projections
Apart from Hyderabad, other districts in the state are also expected to experience light to moderate rainfall on Tuesday. Despite a dry Monday in Hyderabad, areas like Adilabad, Nirmal, and Kumuram Bheem Asifabad encountered showers. Notably, Lokari in the Adilabad district recorded 25.8 mm of rainfall until noon, indicating the varied impact of the ongoing weather patterns.
