Hyderabad: A devastating incident unfolded in Langer Houz on Saturday night as an army man lost his life after sustaining a serious injury to his throat from a China-made nylon thread.

The victim, K. Koteshwar Reddy (28), hailing from Vizag, served as a driver at the Golconda Military Hospital. After completing his duties on Saturday evening, Reddy was en route to his residence in Attapur. However, tragedy struck on the Langer Houz flyover when he came into contact with a China-made nylon thread.

“Koteshwar sustained a deep cut on his neck and collapsed on the road. He was rushed to a hospital where he died while undergoing treatment,” revealed Langer Houz Inspector, J Niranjan Rao.

Following a formal complaint, the police initiated an investigation, and a case has been registered. The body was later shifted to Osmania General Hospital mortuary. After undergoing a post-mortem examination, it was handed over to the grieving family.

This unfortunate incident sheds light on the potential dangers posed by seemingly innocuous objects, prompting authorities to further scrutinize and address safety concerns.
