Hyderabad: Ghulam Ahmed College of Education marked its Annual Day with fervor and enthusiasm on Saturday,
The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Prof. Vibha Asthana, Advisor cum Director, who also presented the Annual Report, highlighting the myriad activities undertaken by the college throughout the year.
Mr. Zafar Javeed, the Honorary Secretary of Sultan ul Uloom Education Society, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. He lauded the commendable achievement of the college in securing an A+ Grade in the NAAC accreditation, despite its minority status. Mr. Javeed emphasized the pivotal role of teachers in transforming lives and inspiring dreams, expressing satisfaction over the college’s emphasis on holistic student development.
The esteemed Chief Guest, Shri. Mr. Sarfaraz Ahmed, IAS, Joint Chief Electoral Officer, Government of Telangana, shed light on the crucial role of teachers in fostering a culture of continuous learning. He underscored the importance of ‘learning to learn’ over mere rote memorization, particularly in enhancing communication skills essential for the modern era. Mr. Ahmed emphasized the values of hard work, diligence, and dedication as indispensable elements for achieving excellence.
The ceremony witnessed the distribution of prizes to meritorious students by Mr. S.A. Wahab, Chairman of the college, and Mr. Masood Abdul Khadar, Joint Secretary, SUES. Notable among the awardees were Ms. Kauser Sultana, the topper of the M.Ed course 2020-22 batch, and Safoora Parveen and Nadia Naseer, who secured the top positions in the B.Ed course for the years 2020-2022 and 2022-2023, respectively.
Dr. N. Saroja, Associate Professor of the college, extended heartfelt gratitude in the vote of thanks, marking the culmination of the event with the rendition of the National Anthem.
