Vikarabad :- In a heart-stopping incident on Monday night at Vikarabad railway station, a passenger narrowly escaped a life-threatening situation after slipping and becoming wedged between a moving train and the platform.
The man, identified as Satish from Raichur, Karnataka, was dragged along by the Express train for a distance before alert passengers, Railway Protection Force (RPF), and railway officials acted swiftly to halt the train and initiate rescue efforts.
Rescue workers, captured on CCTV, excavated the platform to free the victim, who endured nearly 90 minutes of distressing confinement between the train and platform. The entire incident caused the delay of the Bidar-Yesvantpur Express.
Satish was promptly transported to Vikarabad Government Hospital and later transferred to Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad for further medical attention.
The harrowing episode underscores the importance of caution during boarding and the swift response of authorities and fellow passengers in averting a potential tragedy.
