Muluga District Collector and District Election Officer Ila Tripathi assured a smooth election process in the district, emphasizing adherence to Central Election Commission guidelines. During a press conference at the Collectorate’s video conference hall, she confirmed finalization of candidate names and symbol allotments for the upcoming constituency elections.

Tripathi revealed that 18 candidates submitted nominations between the third and tenth of this month, with 11 remaining after scrutiny and withdrawals. The constituency boasts 2,20,886 voters, including 169 PWD voters eligible for home voting.

With 303 polling centers established, Tripathi detailed the Election Day logistics, stating that after polling on the 30th from 7 am to 4 pm, EVM machines will be securely transferred to the degree college. Subsequently, on the third day of the following month, the machines will be housed in a special hall at the collector’s office, with ECIL teams conducting periodic checks.

Highlighting the establishment of a comprehensive control room at the district collectorate, Tripathi assured timely resolution of election-related complaints. Voter information slips, distributed door-to-door since the 15th, include details on polling station locations, ensuring voters know where to exercise their rights.

Tripathi concluded by urging cooperation from the public and party leaders, emphasizing the district administration’s commitment to a peaceful atmosphere during the assembly elections on the 30th of this month.
