Hyderabad : In a heartwarming initiative, the Deaf Enabled Foundation (DEF) in collaboration with the Sultan-ul-Uloom Education Society organized a painting competition aimed at empowering hearing-impaired children from various city schools. The event, held at Ghulam Ahmed Hall Sultan-ul-Uloom Education Society Green Campus Banjara Hills witnessed an impressive turnout as children with hearing impairments showcased their artistic prowess on canvas.

The painting competition, a platform for these talented children, featured themes centered around pressing issues such as pollution, the girl child, water conservation, and environmental sustainability. The participants not only demonstrated their creativity but also conveyed powerful messages through their art.

In a celebratory atmosphere, DEF honored outstanding educators and all-round students with the prestigious Helen Keller Awards. These awards recognized the invaluable contributions of teachers and the exceptional abilities of students who excel not only in academics but also in various extracurricular activities.

The award ceremony, graced by distinguished guests including Mr. Masood Abdul Khader, Joint Secretary of Sultan-ul-Uloom Education Society, Dr. Anupama Koneru, Dr. Vibha Asthana, Dr. Mahipal Singh Rawat, Mr. Narsimha Rao, Mr. Sandeep (Founder of DEF), Mr. Hari Hara Kumar, and Ms. Ramya Miryala, added a touch of prestige to the occasion.
