
Hyderabad : — In a groundbreaking initiative, Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology (MJCET) successfully hosted its 15-hour Annual Hackathon titled “Hack Revolution” on December 17, 2023. The event, a collaborative effort with CSI Chapter MJCET, Entrepreneurship Cell MJCET, and Institution Innovation Council (IIC) MHRD, MJCET, was proudly sponsored by Advance Communication and Electronic Systems (ACES), a leading international digital neutral infrastructure company specializing in engineering solutions in telecom and software domains.
The hackathon featured four distinct tracks—Healthcare, Fin-Tech, Generic Software, and Generic Hardware. A total of 153 teams from prominent colleges across Telangana, including NIT Warangal, CBIT, Nalla Narshimha Reddy, Methodist, Stanley, Malla Reddy, MLR, VJIT, ISL, KMIT, Lords, Nawab Shah Alam, and more, participated in the intense phase 1. The top 60 teams were selected to advance to phase 2, where they built innovative projects and products from the ground up. Approximately 300 participants engaged in fervent programming and hardware design activities, transforming concepts into tangible prototypes.
Distinguished industry experts, including Mr. Syed Nisar Ul Haq (Software Engineer, Microsoft), Md Imran Khan (Senior Consultant, Deloitte), Mohd Ali Dashti (Supplier Risk Analyst, Bristol Myers Squibb), JSR Bharadwaj (Manager, Ernst & Young), Mohammed Nayeem Uddin (Technical Staff, AMD), Shadab Alam (Lead Engineer, Bosch), Mohammed Nadeem (Senior Design Engineer, Intel), Dr. Arif Sohel (ACES), and academicians Mohd Riazuddin (Assistant Professor, Anurag University) and Mr. Syed Akbar Hashmi (Assistant Professor, CSED, MJCET), constituted the judging panel. Entries were evaluated based on criteria such as innovation, creativity, social impact, and feasibility.
Students were encouraged to utilize the ACES-HUB mobile application for project development updates, showcasing various phases of their projects. The event concluded with a valedictory session where cash awards totaling Rs. 3 Lakhs were distributed to the winning teams. Mr. Mohammed N. Mazher, Managing Director of ACES India, and Prof. Syed Ferhathullah Hussainy, Dean, MJCET, graced the occasion. Mr. Mazher affirmed ACES’ commitment to fostering a robust industry-academia partnership, emphasizing the role of hackathons in showcasing students’ technical prowess.
