The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has unveiled its picks for the Rajya Sabha seats from Telangana, presenting an opportunity to Renuka Chaudhary and Anil Kumar Yadav. Anil Kumar Yadav, son of former MP Anjan Kumar Yadav, is set to make his debut in the House of Elders, marking a significant milestone in his political journey. Yadav’s selection has sparked surprise among many, attributed to his notable contributions and remarkable achievements. The Congress leadership has bestowed upon him this opportunity under the auspices of the Youth Congress quota.
Beyond Telangana, the AICC has also announced Rajya Sabha candidates from other states. Ajay Maken, Syed Nasir Hussain, and Chandrasekhar will represent Karnataka, while Ashok Singh has been chosen from Madhya Pradesh. The official nominations for these candidates are scheduled for tomorrow (Thursday).
Anil Kumar Yadav, visibly elated by the announcement, expressed his gratitude to the Congress leadership for entrusting him with this responsibility.
