Hyderabad :- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has promptly extended a financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh to the family of a Swiggy delivery boy who tragically lost his life on duty nearly four months ago. True to his commitment, the Chief Minister ensured swift financial support, presenting a cheque of Rs 2 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to the bereaved family. The presentation ceremony took place at Dr BR Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat on Saturday.

During a meeting with gig workers at Nampally Exhibition Ground on December 23, Revanth Reddy highlighted the unfortunate incident involving the Swiggy delivery boy who lost his life while on duty four months ago. Expressing disappointment with the previous BRS Government’s inaction, the Chief Minister asserted that he had expected some response from the then government but found none. Following this, Revanth Reddy instructed officials to gather details about the deceased delivery boy.

In a remarkable turnaround, within a week, officials successfully collected the necessary information about the family and invited them to the Telangana State Secretariat to receive the financial assistance directly from the Chief Minister, underscoring the efficiency of the Chief Minister’s quick response to the humanitarian cause.
