
Telangana’s Chief Minister, K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR), is set to inaugurate nine additional medical colleges in the state via a virtual ceremony scheduled for September 15.
The announcement came during a video conference held by Health Minister T Harish Rao with District Collectors on Monday. Minister Harish Rao directed the Collectors to ensure the provision of essential amenities and make all necessary preparations for the smooth functioning of these nine medical colleges.
The Health Minister also instructed officials to establish 24 new urban health centers and 40 rural health centers in private buildings, urging them to commence operations promptly. Furthermore, he emphasized the need to initiate operations at the Basti Dawakhanas, which were still pending.
In addition to healthcare matters, the Finance Minister stressed the importance of expediting the identification of beneficiaries under the Gruha Lakshmi program and promptly issuing allotment letters. He also urged applicants who had received demand notices for regularization under GO 59 to make their payments without delay.
