
Hyderabad : In a significant political move, the President of the BRS party and Chief Minister of Telangana, K Chandrashekhar Rao, filed his nomination papers for the Gajwel Assembly constituency for the third time. This event took place on Thursday at the Integrated Office Complex in Gajwel.
The Chief Minister made a grand entrance, leaving his farmhouse in Erravelli via a helicopter and landing at the helipad near the Integrated Office Complex (IOC) campus in Gajwel. Accompanied by local BRS leaders, he officially submitted his nomination papers between 11 am and 11.45 am.
Following this, he boarded a poll campaign vehicle and embarked on a mission to meet constituents, supporters, and party cadre eagerly awaiting him near the helipad. His visit to Kamareddy, where he is contesting for the first time, is scheduled for later today, around 2 PM. There, he will submit his nomination papers to the Returning Officer.
The Chief Minister is also set to participate in the Praja Ashirvada Sabha public meeting, addressing the gathering as part of his campaign efforts.
In an intriguing tradition, Chandrashekhar Rao visited the Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Konaipalli of Nangunur mandal in Siddipet district on Saturday. Here, he performed a special puja, placing the nomination papers before the presiding deity and seeking blessings at the temple. Amid the chanting of Vedic hymns, he signed the nomination papers for both the Gajwel and Siddipet constituencies on the temple premises, signifying the spiritual dimension of his political journey.
