Hyderabad : In a fiery speech at a poll rally in Korutla, BRS MLC K Kavitha took aim at Union Home Minister Amit Shah, dubbing him “Abaddala Shah” (king of lies). The rally, held about 165 km from Hyderabad, witnessed Kavitha asserting that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s family extends beyond the immediate four members to encompass the entire populace of Telangana—four crore people.

Questioning the BJP’s promises, Kavitha highlighted the contradiction between the Central government’s sale of public sector units (PSUs) and the BJP’s pledge to reopen sugar factories in Telangana. She specifically targeted Amit Shah, proposing a name change to “Abaddala Bashah” in light of what she perceives as his untruthful statements. Kavitha challenged the credibility of the BJP’s commitment to reopening the sugar factory in Korutla, particularly in the context of broader PSU disinvestments.

The BRS leader further addressed the accusations made by various leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, regarding the governance of KCR’s family. Rejecting the notion of a limited family influence, Kavitha emphasized that the KCR-led government represents a family of four crore Telangana people. She staunchly defended the administration, asserting that, unlike the Congress era, the BRS government has maintained peace and tranquility in Telangana over the past decade, dispelling any comparisons to past instances of riots.
