Bomb Threat Disrupts Telangana’s Praja Bhavan; Authorities on High Alert

Hyderabad: An unidentified person on Tuesday (May 28) allegedly made a call stating that a bomb will explode at Praja Bhavan, the official residence of Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, prompting the police to carry out searches, official sources said.

According to sources, an anonymous caller contacted the police control room and warned of a bomb threat targeting Praja Bhavan in Hyderabad city.

Swiftly responding to the threat, the police initiated thorough searches of the premises with the assistance of the bomb disposal squad.

In response to the incident, Telangana Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, and Women and Child Welfare, D Anasuya, popularly known as Seethakka, visited Praja Bhavan. She held discussions with officials and the family members of the Deputy CM regarding the matter.

As a precautionary measure, the minister directed officials to intensify security measures at Praja Bhavan and ensure rigorous scrutiny of visitors, as per an official statement.

Praja Bhavan serves as the venue for the ‘Praja Vani’ event, a grievance redressal meeting held twice a week, further adding urgency to the security protocols in place.
