Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), led by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, is poised for a significant political push in Maharashtra, riding on the wave of its ‘Ab Ki Bar Kisan Sarkar’ slogan gaining immense popularity. Party insiders reveal that a slew of massive public meetings, membership drives, and strategic activities are on the horizon following the upcoming special session of Parliament.

Sources within the party indicate that K Chandrashekhar Rao is contemplating a strategic shift, opting to hold public gatherings in each district headquarters, instead of covering every Assembly constituency. The plan includes a series of 30 public meetings across 36 districts of Maharashtra before the Lok Sabha poll schedule is officially announced.

The BRS is already basking in the glory of a membership roster that boasts 20 lakh office bearers, and it is expected to further bolster its ranks with an additional 30 lakh members anticipated to join by the end of this month.

A senior party official stated, “The appointment of party office bearers at the State and district level is nearly complete. Subsequently, the party leadership is expected to orchestrate these high-impact public meetings.”

Recent reports reveal that the Chief Minister convened a crucial meeting with the party’s Maharashtra leadership, including key figures like K Vamshidhar Rao, Manik Kadam, Shankar Anna Dhondge, Baburao Rathod, Bhagirath Balke, and other regional coordinators and senior leaders. The agenda reportedly revolved around the party’s meticulous action plan for Maharashtra in preparation for the Lok Sabha elections slated for April and May.

Notably, on August 30, Finance and Health Minister Harish Rao actively participated in the Markandeya Rathotsava organized by the Padmashali community in Solapur. Subsequently, inspection visits were made to venues at Balkot and Eidgah grounds for a large-scale public gathering in Solapur. The groundwork being laid, BRS leaders in Solapur are set to engage with the Chief Minister to finalize the meeting’s date.

The allure of the ‘Ab Ki Bar Kisan Sarkar’ slogan and the desire for the Telangana model’s implementation in Maharashtra have prompted Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao to actively connect with the state’s populace. This unique appeal is drawing the attention of political leaders and activists from a wide spectrum of parties, including Congress, BJP, NCP, Shiv Sena, and AAP, towards the BRS in Maharashtra. Additionally, influential social service organizations, like the Shetkari Sangathan, are aligning themselves with the BRS. As the party continues to surge in popularity and demand, it gears up for extensive activities across the state.
