Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Apprehends Tahsildar and Revenue Inspector in Adilabad

Adilabad: In a significant development, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested a Tahsildar and a Revenue Inspector on allegations of accepting a bribe of Rs. 2 lakh from a farmer in the Mavala mandal center on Sunday.

According to Adilabad ACB In-charge DSP Bhadraiah, the individuals apprehended are Mavala Mandal Revenue Officer Arifa Sultana and Revenue Inspector Hanumanth Rao. They were apprehended in the act while accepting the bribe of Rs. 2 lakh from farmer Yathendranath, who hails from Adilabad town.

The bribe was reportedly solicited by the officials to rectify an error in the farmer’s land records on the Dharani portal. Both individuals will be presented before a special court for ACB cases located in Karimnagar on Monday.

A case has been registered against the accused, marking a significant step in the fight against corruption in the region.
