Hyderabad: The Telangana Congress has registered a case with the Election Commission, alleging a violation of the Model Code of Conduct against Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Chief and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, as well as Finance Minister T Harish Rao, over their disparaging remarks about the Congress’s manifesto.

In the complaint addressed to Chief Electoral Officer Vikas Raj, the Congress party specifically pointed to Harish Rao’s ridicule of the Congress’s 42-page manifesto, terming it a ‘420-manifesto.’ The Congress asserts that such remarks constitute a breach of the electoral code.

This complaint comes in the wake of heightened political tensions in Telangana, with both the Congress and BRS filing complaints against each other with the Election Commission, adding an extra layer of contention to the ongoing election campaign.
