Hyderabad : In a significant announcement, Asaduddin Owaisi, the president of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and Member of Parliament representing Hyderabad, unveiled the party’s list of candidates for the forthcoming Telangana Assembly elections. The announcement was made during a press conference held at the party’s headquarters, Darussalam.
Owaisi revealed that AIMIM is set to contest in nine constituencies, a notable expansion beyond its existing presence in seven constituencies. The party’s new entries include Jubilee Hills and Rajendranagar.
In addition, he disclosed that Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri and Mumtaz Ahmed Khan will not be participating in the upcoming polls; however, they will continue to remain affiliated with AIMIM.
The list of declared candidates is as follows:
- Chandrayangutta: Akbaruddin Owaisi
- Karwan: Kausar Mohiuddin
- Nampally: Mohammad Majid Hussain
- Yakutpura: Jaffer Hussain
- Charminar: Mir Zulfiqar Ali
Notably, the candidates for Rajendranagar and Jubilee Hills have yet to be announced, adding an element of anticipation to the electoral landscape. The AIMIM’s presence in these constituencies is expected to bring a fresh perspective to the upcoming elections.
