Hyderabad : In an unexpected move, senior Congress leader and former minister, K Jana Reddy, has thrown his hat into the ring for the position of Chief Minister, even before there are any indications of the Congress party coming to power in the state. On Tuesday, he made a claim that he is also in the race and stated that anything could happen within the party.

Speaking to the media, the former minister asserted that he has never actively pursued posts and positions; rather, they have come to him naturally. He even cited the example of former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao, who was offered the highest position, despite not having anticipated it.

Jana Reddy went on to say, “It’s not a big deal. When the time comes, my son, K Jayveer Reddy, who is contesting from Nagarjuna Sagar, will resign, and I will be elected back as an MLA.” This statement, captured in a video that is now circulating, has triggered mixed reactions within the Congress party.

This declaration by K Jana Reddy has ignited speculation and discussion within the party, as it raises questions about the dynamics and ambitions of party members regarding leadership roles.
