“Political Prowess Unveiled: Kodandaram and Zafar Javeed on the Verge of Telangana’s Cabinet Horizon”

New Delhi/ Hyderabad :- In a significant political development, prominent Muslim leaders, including Mohammed Ali Shabbir, Zafar Javeed, Mohammed Azharuddin, Khusro Pasha, and Faheem Qureshi, have emerged as potential contenders for inclusion in the Telangana cabinet. Sources reveal that the Congress party, recognizing the prowess of two individuals, Kodandaram and Zafar Javeed, in the field of education, is considering nominating them as Members of the Legislative Council (MLCs) and subsequently inducting them into the Telangana cabinet.
Zafar Javeed, not only a senior Vice President of the Congress party but also an educationist, holds the possibility of securing a cabinet berth.
Recent Assembly elections saw the Congress party accusing the KCR government of forcing the closure of several intellectual institutions. The party, during public meetings, held KCR accountable for the alleged closure of minority colleges and reneging on the promised 12% minority reservation. Despite these accusations, the Muslim community rallied behind the Congress, leading to the party’s victory and the formation of its government in Telangana.
It is noteworthy that in these elections, neither the Congress nor the BRS party’s Muslim candidates achieved success. This marks the first instance where not a single Muslim candidate from a major political party secured victory. As the focus now shifts to upcoming Parliamentary elections, the inclusion of Muslim representation in the Telangana cabinet becomes a critical consideration, reflecting the diversity and inclusivity of the state’s political landscape.
