Hyderabad : In a startling development, Hyderabad police have filed a case against Kalyan, the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) of former Telangana Minister for Animal Husbandry, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, along with four others. They are accused of allegedly ransacking the office of the Animal Husbandry Department and stealing files.

The Nampally Police Station registered the case based on a complaint filed by Mandala Laxmaiah, the watchman at the Department of Animal Husbandry office in Shanti Nagar, Masab Tank. The suspects have been charged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including criminal breach of trust, mischief and causing damage, trespass, destruction of document, and abetment.

Srinivas Yadav, formerly a minister in the BRS government, is at the center of this controversy. The Congress recently won power in the elections, displacing the BRS government.

According to the complainant, while conducting routine checks on Friday evening, he discovered that the lock of Kalyan’s office room was open. Upon closer inspection, he found documents scattered, and some were placed in a black cover. Suspecting foul play, he reported that someone had entered the room and taken away vital documents.

The watchman asserted that on December 8, around 5:30 a.m., OSD Kalyan, along with computer operators Mohan and Elijah, and attenders Venkatesh and Prasanth, were present at the office. He suspects that, given the recent change in government, Kalyan and the others might have seized the opportunity to remove important documents.

This incident marks the second in the month, following a fire in the tourism office in Hyderabad on December 1, where files, computers, and furniture were destroyed. The cause of that fire remains unknown. Investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
