Cracking Down on Methamphetamine: TSNAB Nabs (03) Drug Manufacturers, Seizing Drugs and Equipment Worth Rs. 50 Lakhs
Hyderabad : In a significant victory against illegal drug trade, the TS Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TSNAB) in collaboration with Suraram Police has successfully apprehended three individuals involved in methamphetamine trafficking. The suspects were caught red-handed with 60 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 700 ml of liquid methamphetamine, and related equipment, resulting in their arrest.
Details of the Accused Persons:
- Kamma Srinivas @ Srinu, 40 years old, Occupation: Pvt. Employee, Resident of Gajularamaram, Originally from West Godavari Dist, A.P. (Previously charged: Cr.No.NCB.No.48/1/2/2013/NCB/BZO U/s 8(c) r/w 22, 28, 29 of NDPS Act-1985 of NCB, Hyderabad).
- G. Narasimha Raju @ Ajay @ Bobby, 42 years old, Occupation: Aqua Culture at Kakinada, Native of I-Polavaram (Mdl), Ambedker Konaseema Dist, A.P.
- Datla Manikanta Veera Venkata Naga Raju @ D.M.V.V.Nagaraju, @ Pandu, 32 years old, Occupation: Supervisor cum Driver, Resident of Gajularamaram, Originally from East Godavari Dist, A.P.
Seized Property:
- Crystal Methamphetamine drug – 60 grams.
- Liquid methamphetamine (mixed with Acetone) – 700 ml.
- Acetone bottle (Containing 150 ml Acetone).
- Cell Phones – 3 Nos.
Modus Operandi & Case Details:
The main accused, Kamma Srinivas, a former offender and drug manufacturer, previously arrested by NCB, joined forces with G. Narasimha Raju and Datla Manikanta Veera Venkata Naga Raju. They produced crystal Methamphetamine by converting liquid methamphetamine and distributed approximately 6 kgs of methamphetamine in crystal form over the past two years.
On credible information, TS-NAB and Suraram Police conducted a successful operation, leading to the arrest of the accused during a drug supply attempt. A case was registered vide Cr.No.270/2023, U/Sec. 8 (c),r/w 22, 28, 29 of NDPS Act-1985 of Suraram PS, Cyberabad.
TSNAB’s Success:
In a commendable achievement, TSNAB has successfully nabbed (03) drug manufacturers, seizing methamphetamine drugs and related equipment, all worth Rs. 50 Lakhs.
