Hyderabad : In a strategic move to enhance voter participation, ride-sharing platform Rapido has unveiled a groundbreaking initiative offering free rides to more than 2,600 polling stations across Hyderabad on November 30. The announcement aligns with Rapido’s dedication to bolstering voter turnout, particularly among its predominantly youthful user base in Telangana.
Pavan Guntupalli, Co-founder of Rapido, emphasized the significance of India’s democracy and the platform’s commitment to making every vote count. Guntupalli stated, “By facilitating free bike rides on Election Day, we intend to encourage citizens to exercise their right to vote. We urge people to participate in greater numbers without worrying about transportation.”
Recognizing the pivotal role transportation plays in voter participation, Rapido’s offer of complimentary bike rides aims to foster widespread involvement in the election process.
