Hyderabad : In a significant development leading up to the Telangana Assembly Elections 2023, Tahreek Muslim Shabban, a prominent religious and socio-political organization, has announced its decision to endorse the Congress Party. This decision comes following extensive discussions and negotiations regarding the 13-point Charter of Demands presented by Tahreek Muslim Shabban to various political parties, including BRS and Congress.
Key leaders from the Congress Central and State Leadership, including Mr. Manik Rao Thakre (State PCC Incharge), Mr. Mansoor Ali Khan (Secretary AICC), and Mrs. Das Munshi (Ex-Central Minister & CWC Member), engaged in multiple rounds of talks with the leaders of Tahreek Muslim Shabban to address the concerns and issues affecting the Muslim community in Telangana.
After thorough deliberations, Tahreek Muslim Shabban, along with its allied organizations, has decided to extend support to the Congress Party in the upcoming elections, with the exception of specific constituencies. The constituencies where Tahreek Muslim Shabban will not support Congress include Bodhan, Bahadurpura, Yakutpura, Chandrangutta, GoshaMahal, and Charminar.
In GoshaMahal, the primary objective is to counter the candidacy of the BJP, particularly focusing on defeating a candidate accused of blasphemy. In Bodhan, Tahreek Muslim Shabban has chosen to support Mr. Shakil Amer.
Mohammed Mushtaq Malik, President of Tahreek Muslim Shabban & Shariah Faisla Board, urges the Muslim community in Telangana to cast their votes collectively in favor of the Congress Party. Emphasizing the Congress Party’s commitment to combating communal forces such as RSS and BJP, Tahreek Muslim Shabban believes that supporting Congress is essential to strengthening and safeguarding constitutional values.
