Hyderabad : In a prelude to the upcoming assembly elections, Income Tax Department officials conducted a series of searches on residences linked to Telangana Minister Sabitha Indira Reddy in Hyderabad. The primary focus of the investigation was the residence of Pradeep, a close relative of Minister Sabitha Indira Reddy, situated in Gachibowli.
Simultaneously, income tax sleuths expanded their scope, raiding the homes of various other relatives of Minister Sabitha Indira Reddy across the city. Notably, the apartment belonging to Pradeep in Gachibowli emerged as a key point in the ongoing investigation.
In addition to the residential searches, Income Tax officials are currently engaged in scrutinizing a leading pharmaceutical company in Hyderabad. The ongoing raids span 15 distinct locations within the city.
The pharmaceutical company under investigation has ties to Kotla Narendra Reddy, the owner, who previously held a marketing role at Dr. Reddy’s Lab. The search operation extends beyond his residence, encompassing offices belonging to the company’s staff. The unfolding events are poised to have significant implications in the political landscape, setting the stage for a charged electoral atmosphere in Telangana.
