Arman Chahus’ Heartwarming Moment: Hyderabad Police Grants Terminally Ill Boy’s Dream of Becoming an Honorary Detective

Hyderabad : In a poignant and heartwarming tale, Arman Chahus, an eight-year-old boy battling a life-threatening ailment, saw his dream come true as he fulfilled his wish of becoming a police officer in Hyderabad.
On Saturday, the terminally ill boy had the opportunity to don a specially tailored police uniform and take on the role of the Station House Officer at the Banjara Hills police station for a brief period. This heartfelt moment was made possible after the higher-ups of the Hyderabad police granted their permission.
Hailing from Adilabad, Arman is currently undergoing treatment at the Mehdi Nawaz Jung Institute of Oncology and Regional Cancer Centre. Naresh Reddy, Assistant Program Director of Make a Wish Foundation Hyderabad, shared, “During a routine interaction with our volunteers, he expressed his wish to become a police officer. We got in touch with the higher-ups of the Hyderabad police and took him to Banjara Hills police station.”
On his special day, Arman arrived at the police station dressed in a miniature police uniform, complete with a toy pistol tucked into his waist belt. With enthusiasm, he took the seat of the Inspector for a while, exploring every nook and cranny of the police station.
Banjara Hills Inspector P. Sateesh remarked, “The child was curious; he went around the police station and observed everything keenly, including the lock-up and the arms kept in the police station.”
At the conclusion of his visit, Arman was all smiles, clearly having relished every moment spent at the police station as an honorary “police officer.” His visit also forged a special friendship with Sub Inspector Karunakar Reddy. This heartening event not only brought joy to Arman but also exemplified the compassionate side of law enforcement in Hyderabad.
