In a recent development, Election Commission officials, in collaboration with the local police, carried out a comprehensive examination of the luxury bus utilized by Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for his election campaign. This inspection occurred while KCR was en route to address an election rally in Kothagudem. The meticulous examination encompassed every aspect of the bus, known as ‘Paragati Ratham.’ Election Commission officials and law enforcement officers diligently scrutinized various areas, including bags, baskets, boxes containing food supplies, and other essentials. They even inspected the bus’s restroom facilities. Notably, the entire inspection operation was documented through video recording by the Election Commission officials.
Furthermore, this scrutiny is not isolated, as the Election Commission officials had previously subjected State BJP Chief and Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy’s car to a similar inspection while he was en route to a meeting in Kamareddy. The Election Commission has also extended its scrutiny to the vehicles of prominent political figures, including Ministers K. T. Rama Rao and Mahmood Ali, BJP leader Bandi Sanjay Kumar, and AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi.
