Bhupalpally : Rahul Gandhi, a prominent Congress leader, joined the ‘Vijayabheri Yatra’ in Telangana, a significant prelude to next month’s Assembly elections. The campaign kicked off with an energetic bike rally from GENCO Guest House to the Ambedkar statue in Bhupalpally, drawing a large crowd of Congress leaders and workers.

Inside the comfort of his car, Rahul Gandhi waved at the cheering crowds lining the streets. Accompanying him were key figures, including Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president A. Revanth Reddy, Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, former TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy, Campaign Committee chairman Madhu Goud Yaskhi, and other leaders.

The ‘Vijayabheri Yatra’ will continue until it reaches Peddapally, where Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to address a public gathering in the evening. Following this, he will transition to a bus journey from Peddapally to Karimnagar.

Upon reaching Karimnagar, Rahul Gandhi will embark on a padayatra, starting from Karimnagar Housing Board Circle and concluding at Rajiv Chowk, where he will address the gathering.

This robust campaign initiative follows the launch of a bus yatra by Rahul Gandhi and AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra at the Ramappa temple in Mulugu district. Their journey commenced after offering prayers at the temple, followed by a public meeting in Mulugu, officially inaugurating the party’s election campaign.

Furthermore, the leaders reiterated the six guarantees that were initially announced by the party last month and introduced some fresh promises. Both leaders criticized the BRS for alleged corruption and its purported connection with the BJP.

Notably, while Priyanka Gandhi concluded her participation after Wednesday’s program, Rahul Gandhi is persisting with his visit. He is poised to engage in the bus yatra on Friday, covering an expansive distance of approximately 190 km, encompassing various Assembly constituencies across Mulugu, Warangal, Karimnagar, and Nizamabad districts.

The Congress party has already unveiled its candidates for 55 constituencies on October 15, with the second list of candidates expected to be disclosed post-October 20.
