Tragic Accident Claims Life of Hyderabad Student in Kansas, United States

A young woman hailing from Hyderabad tragically lost her life in a road accident that occurred in Kansas, United States, just two days ago.

Pratiksha Kunwar, a 22-year-old resident of Narayanguda, was pursuing her MBA at Wichita State University in Kansas. Local reports from the area indicate that the accident took place at approximately 7 pm on a Sunday, at the intersection of 21st Street North and 391st Street West, just southeast of a lake. The collision unfolded when an eastbound Nissan Sentra failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a northbound Chevy Tahoe.

Regrettably, Pratiksha Kunwar, a passenger in the Nissan, succumbed to her injuries at a local hospital. The 22-year-old male driver of the car was hospitalized, while two other passengers were released at the accident scene. The 36-year-old male driver of the Tahoe and his two passengers, aged 2 and 3, were treated for minor injuries, according to the reports.

Amjedullah Khan, the spokesperson for the MBT party, extended his condolences and met with the grieving family of the victim at their residence on Tuesday. He appealed to the Minister of External Affairs, Dr. S. Jaishankar, and the Telangana Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, KT Rama Rao, to liaise with Indian authorities in Washington DC to facilitate the swift repatriation of the mortal remains to Hyderabad.

This heart-wrenching incident serves as a stark reminder of the need for enhanced safety on the roads and the profound impact such accidents can have on families and communities.
