
Hyderabad: The Narsingi police have registered a case against BRS MLC Challa Venkataram Reddy, Kollapur MLA Beeram Harshavardhan Reddy, and eight others over allegations of trespassing and engaging in mischief related to a property at Goldfish Abode Private Limited in Gandipet.
The complaint was filed by businessman Gandu Shravan, a resident of Kokapet village, who accused the BRS leaders of trespassing on his land, mistreating laborers, including women and children, and forcibly evicting them from labor sheds.
Shravan further claimed that Challa Venkatram Reddy, Beeram Harshavardhan Reddy, Deshkanth Reddy (a close associate of Challa Venkatram Reddy), and another individual named Vikas had organized the materials for barricading and brought in three containers and a JCB to dismantle their labor camp and commence barricading work.
The complaint also alleged that the MLC, MLA, and others had mobilized 50-60 individuals with a history of anti-social activities who forcibly entered the property.
According to Shravan, when he questioned their illegal actions, he was subjected to severe physical assault and received threats of dire consequences.
The police have initiated a case under sections 447 (criminal trespass), 427 r/w 34 IPC (mischief causing damage amounting to fifty rupees or more), and are currently investigating the matter.
