In an unprecedented move, a staggering total of 81,069 teachers from government and local body schools in Hyderabad have submitted requests for transfers from their current assignments.
Of this remarkable figure, 74,101 teachers initially responded to a notification issued back in February, with an additional 6,968 fresh transfer applications submitted recently, marking the end of the application submission period on Tuesday.
Detailed data provided by the School Education department reveals that the highest number of transfer applications, totaling 4,722, were filed in the Ranga Reddy district. Following closely behind were Nalgonda with 4,416 applications, Nizamabad with 4,088, and Sangareddy with 4,038 applications. Conversely, Mulugu district saw the fewest applications, with only 781 teachers seeking transfers.
According to the schedule outlined by the department, a provisional seniority list, including entitlement points for transfers and promotions, will be made available at district educational offices and on the website on September 8 and 9. During these days, individuals can also submit objections, if any, regarding the list.
A final seniority list for promotions and transfers is set to be displayed at district educational offices and online on September 12 and 13.
For grade-II headmasters in Zilla Parishad and government schools seeking transfers, the process involves exercising web options on September 12 and 13, with an option to edit selections on September 14. Headmaster transfers are scheduled for September 15, and vacancies will be announced for promotions on September 16.
The headmaster vacancies will be filled through the promotion of School Assistants (SAs), a process that will take place between September 17 and 19. Subsequently, SA vacancies will be notified on September 20 and 21, allowing SAs seeking transfers to exercise web options on the same days.
Transfers for SAs are scheduled for September 23 and 24, with vacancies announced on September 25. These vacancies will be filled through the promotion of Secondary Grade Teachers (SGTs) from September 26 to 28.
Following the display of SGT vacancies, SGTs seeking transfers can exercise web options between September 29 and October 1, with their transfers taking effect on October 3.
