Hyderabad, – As heavy rainfall continues to lash the city, GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose issued a warning to citizens on Tuesday, urging them to exercise caution and remain indoors.
Simultaneously, the relentless rain over the past two days has led to significant inflows into the twin reservoirs of Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar. In response, authorities raised two floodgates at each reservoir by up to two feet on Tuesday morning.
Anticipating an outflow of 442 cusecs from Osman Sagar and 1373 cusecs from Himayat Sagar, the Commissioner directed officials to promptly alert residents in the vicinity and close catchment areas to prevent any untoward incidents.
