“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

Manchirial – In a deeply disturbing incident, a Dalit man and his friend were subjected to extreme brutality when they were tied upside down in a shed. The motive behind this heinous act was a mere suspicion of goat theft in Telangana’s Manchirial district.

Three individuals, identified as Komurajula Ramulu, his wife Swaroopa, and their son Srinivas, have been apprehended and face charges of attempted murder and perpetrating atrocities against Dalits.

According to the police, the chilling episode unfolded on a fateful Friday when Ramulu reported that his goat had gone missing. In response, a cowherd named Teja and his Dalit friend Chilumula Kiran were summoned to the shed under the suspicion of being involved in the goat’s disappearance. Shockingly, Ramulu, his wife, and son hung the two men upside down and subjected them to a brutal assault.

The incident came to light after Kiran’s wife filed a complaint with the police, prompting them to register a case under the SC/ST Act. ACP Sadaiah and SSI Chandrakumar conducted an inspection of the scene on Saturday.

ACP Sadaiah confirmed that the three accused—Ramulu, Swaroopa, and Srinivas—have been apprehended and are presently in judicial custody. This distressing incident has garnered national attention and has sparked outrage over the shocking violence inflicted on the victims. India Today has reported on the developments in this case.
