“Ending all speculation, BRS MLC K Kavitha announced on Thursday her decision to contest the upcoming general elections from the Nizamabad Lok Sabha constituency.

She emphasized her commitment to ensuring the defeat of the current MP, Dharmapuri Arvind, no matter which constituency he chooses for the Assembly or Parliament elections. During a press conference held at the BRS Legislative Party office in the Assembly, Kavitha stated that the BJP played no significant role in advancing the Nizamabad Lok Sabha constituency over the past decade.

Contrary to this, she highlighted that the BRS government in the State has remarkably transformed the former Nizamabad district across all domains.

Kavitha criticized the BJP for disseminating false information and engaging in propaganda against the state government.

She pointed out that the Nizamabad MP, Arvind, lacks a proper understanding of the Nizamabad IT Hub’s operations. Kavitha emphasized that while the state government is investing significant funds for the progress of the former Nizamabad district, BJP leaders are preoccupied with spreading unfounded rumors.

Directing her challenge at BJP MP Bandi Sanjay, who has been mocking the consistent power supply in Telangana, Kavitha dared him to personally experience the uninterrupted power supply by placing his finger on the switchboard at the BJP office at any time, day or night. Additionally, Kavitha hinted that Arvind might opt out of contesting from the Nizamabad Lok Sabha constituency due to the risk of losing his deposit.

Instead, he might consider trying his luck from the Korutla Assembly constituency. TSRTC chairman Bajireddy Govardhan and MLA Ganesh Bigala highlighted the new IT Hub in Nizamabad, stating that it would create numerous job opportunities for local youth.

They advised leaders from the Congress and BJP opposition parties to choose their words carefully while making allegations against the BRS government and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. They cautioned that if such baseless allegations continue, the BRS members would respond proportionately.
